Toasting under the Southern Cross
We learnt two ways to find south using the Southern Cross, in case we break or lose our compass and no one has a working maps app on their phone. The full description is available on the relevant ABC Science page. To stay warm while the group’s AGM was happening in the hall, we lit some small cook fires and made some toast over the flames.
