Boys and aged 5 to 7 years old can join our Joey mob, and when they do there’s lots to keep them occupied. (5 year old’s need to be attending school)
Our Joey mob meets on Wednesdays, 5.15-6.15pm nominally at the hall, however they are often out and about so it would be wise to contact one of the leaders if you are unsure.
Under the supervision of trained Joey Scout leaders and their helpers Joeys discover adventure! They discover what challenge means for them, explore the world around them, start to be active in the community, share new adventures with others, start to develop outdoor skills, discover what teamwork means, and have a whole lot of fun doing it!
Joey Scouts are encouraged to express themselves creatively, through games, stories and craft activities. From building monsters and spaceships from scrap items, to growing plants from seedlings and singing songs together, all Joeys develop a strong sense of belonging and an understanding of the world around them.
Joeys are taught about sharing, about nature and about the world around them.
And most importantly, Joeys are taught to jump in and help.
The Joey Scout theme is: ‘Help Other People’ (H.O.P).
