Breaking the drought …again!

It seems that every time we put up our new tents, the skies open up and try to float them away. The Cubs and Joeys went for a great bike ride (well over 9km) to Belmont and back, put up our tents, rode Barry the Bull, climbed the ship’s ladder and the climbing wall and cooked marshmallows over the Scout’s fires. The Scouts went hiking into the sand dunes / swamp and cooked their own dinners over campfires. After a stormy night in the tents (or in the hall in the case of some Scouts after their tent broke), we packed up and went to visit the Spirit of ANZAC exhibition at the Newcastle Entertainment Centre. Thanks to Akela for organising everything and to the parents / grandparents who came along and helped.
